Web Design
I started working with HTML in college in the mid-90s when the commerical web was first taking off. I really gravitated toward the internet and dived in to doing web design full time. Besides my design skills, I can hand-code HTML and CSS as well as know enough to edit PHP, javascript, and Flash. On larger projects I have often created a look and feel that I then produced with the help of a developer to handle the more code-heavy database work.

I started doing graphic design for print years before doing web design. When I started I was using xacto knives, keyline/paste-up, and doing spreads by hand. I even worked in a print bindery right out of high school. From there I moved on to what was then called "desktop publishing" and using the computer as a design tool. I've worked on dozens of large print projects including CD packages, CD Box Sets, tourbooks, posters, merchandise, photo coffee-table books, brochures, flyers, business cards, and more. I've often gone to press checks and worked with production staff to get a piece produced.
